Sleep Debt: Are You Sleepy?


Sleep debt is a problem that affects the health of many people on a daily basis. It is a condition that can have dangerous consequences if left untreated. Sleep deprivation. is caused by lifestyle habits as well as chronic conditions. Part of the problem is that people often don't even realize that they are losing sleep. And they don't seem to be aware of what is happening to their daily functioning. Some of the causes include; too much caffeine, alcohol, stress, night shift work, and sleep habits.

Treatment would include; changes such as turning off the TV, or computer when you go to bed. Medications can help to get you back on track.
