Ice Skating For The Young At Heart

Ice Skating is another activity that is competitive but can also be a recreational activity. It is an activity that can be enjoyed be the whole family. Roller skating is similar to ice skating except it is performed on a smooth wood surface, usually indoors. For the average person, it can be a social activity just for the exercise. One drawback is that you do need at least a small amount of skill to stay up on your feet. Another drawback would be that you may not have access to a rink in your town. But if you do have access, it is a fun way to exercise.

There can be some risks. Older adults should be careful about falling. This could be an activity that you can start again if you already have some skill. If you are just starting out, make sure to take some lessons and have someone close by to help you achieve some skill.
